The grant above covers the code, the drawings and the writing in this
repository. Some of what it ships, and some of what a build of it emits, is
other people's work and stays under their own terms.

CSS Game Boy -- the console's face
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The handheld on the page -- its shell, its buttons, its two wheels and the
moulding grain over the plastic -- is a port of CSS Game Boy by Martin Gauer
, redrawn in that project's own
660 x 1080 coordinate system.

Early GameBoy -- the screen's typeface, modified
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The face on the green screen is a MODIFIED copy of Early GameBoy by Jimmy
Campbell , used under the Creative
Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 3.0 Unported licence
and remaining under it.
The modification, which that licence permits and requires be recorded: five
glyphs the original lacks -- "/", "&", "middle dot", "ellipsis" and "down
arrow" -- were drawn on the face's own 6 x 6 pixel grid at the same 1-em
advance, so the screen's copy did not have to be rewritten around the gaps. The
change is noted in the font's own name table.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The printed faces
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The words moulded and printed on the case are set in Jost*, Orbitron, Cabin
and Nunito Sans, and the small reference numbers in IBM Plex Mono. Each is
under the SIL Open Font License 1.1 , and none of
them is committed to this project: a build emits only the weights the case
asks for, from their @fontsource packages. Which of them stands in for which
of the hardware's own faces, and why, is recorded in the project's README.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Trademarks
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Nintendo" and "Game Boy" are trademarks of Nintendo. This is an unofficial,
non-commercial reconstruction, is not affiliated with or endorsed by Nintendo,
and prints those words only because they are what the hardware prints.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Dependencies
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
React, Phaser, i18next, modern-normalize and the rest are bundled into a build
under their own licences, each of which travels with its own package.
